An important and mandatory part of a PhD is to participate in courses. During the period of the PhD study programme, every PhD student has to complete both elective and obligatory courses corresponding to 30 ECTS credits. The majority of students enrolled complete the courses at the Aarhus Graduate School of Health Sciences. Therefore, it is in the interest of both students and the Graduate School that the courses provided are of the highest possible quality.

It is our aim to cooperate with the Graduate School in evaluating and improving existing courses and to suggest new courses to achieve that goal.

Furthermore we wish to facilitate the possibility of taking courses at other Faculties or Universities by working for the improvement of course-overview by encouraging the establishment of a common PhD course calendar along with a more uniform calculation and approval of ECTS credits from other course providers.
